FAECA was officially established in December 1995, as a product of the fusion between two federations that no longer exist: FACA (Federación Andaluza de Cooperativas Agrarias) and FECOAGA (Federación de Cooperativas de Agricultores y Ganaderos Andaluces), although it did not start its activity until March 1996, once its cooperatives were incorporated and affiliated.
Andalusian Federation of Cooperative Agrarian Companies (FAECA) is a federation that unites 723 agrarian cooperatives throughout Andalusia, with the fundamental purpose of advising and representing them in defence of their interests. The group of agrarian cooperatives that are members of FAECA comprise a total of 247,861 agricultural members, with a total annual turnover of €4,228,825,044.09.
